Sol Offers Lower Fuel Prices [video]

Gas prices have taken a downward slide on the international scene over the past few months and at least one local supplier in the Virgin Islands is following that trend.


The average price of gas in the U.S. is now $2.679 per gallon. This decline is largely due to falling oil prices — despite the reported threat of ISIS in the Middle East and Putin in Russia. The cost of a barrel of crude oil dropped to $68.98 as of December 1, a 26.3% drop in the year.


Local prices have dropped as well. On Thursday Sol Petroleum BVI Ltd. announced a major price reduction to take effect on December 16th.
